Find Your Optimal Study Time |
Keep Going |
The best time for study very much depends on the individual. Some people are more productive in the evenings, others are better in the mornings. You will also need to factor in when study time will fit into your daily life. Perhaps you could get up earlier than everyone else and study whilst the rest of the household is sleeping, or go to bed later than everyone else. Make use of offers of babysitting help from friends and relatives and if your children take regular naps in the day, abandon the housework and study instead!
It is likely that you will have certain deadlines, which will also need scheduling in. If life gets in the way of a deadline be sure to discuss your issues with tutors, who may be understanding and give you a deadline extension. |
Create a vision of what life will be like when you have qualified and secured your dream job. Keep this vision at the forefront of your mind as this is what will keep you going when things get tough. Motivation towards achieving a goal is essential, if you lose motivation it will be hard to keep going. Get support from family and friends as well as other students.
Your schedule is likely to go awry at times, but don’t despair just try and get back on track as quickly as possible. Communicate with tutors and ask for support as necessary. No one said it was going to be easy, but it will be worth the effort! |
