Pot O' Gold
This super simple DIY is comprised of just a few items and is easy enough for even the littlest of hands to make!
5" terra cotta pot (or, do what I did and buy a cheap, green, plastic pot from the Walmarts)
Green craft paint (or black, for that "authentic" look!) & small sponge brush
Complementary ribbon, at least 1” wide
Low-temp hot glue gun (or white glue if crafting with kiddos)
Green paper fill
St. Pat’s themed stickers
Gold-colored candies, such as Rolo Caramels, butterscotch candies, etc.
Voila, a pot of gold!
St. Pat's Puppy Chow
I love all the different seasonal puppy chow mixes that are out there--pumpkin spice at Halloween, peppermint at Christmas--what about St. Patrick's Day puppy chow?
5 cups rice Chex cereal
1 bag green candy melts
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
I absolutely adore decorating a 3 tiered galvanized serving tray, especially seasonally. Check out these trays decorated for St. Patrick's day: packed with ribbon, greenery, ephemera and more, these really are the perfect St. Patrick's Day centerpiece for any style home!
