A pricey vacation isn't in everyone's budget. Heck, maybe you aren't even into taking vacations at all; gridlock traffic, flight delays, and ugh...people! But just because you aren't into traveling, doesn't mean you can't enjoy a little r & r by spending your vacation at home.
How To Enjoy A Staycation At Home
Just because you're taking a week or two off from work and staying home for your vacation doesn't mean you'll be bored or unmotivated. This is the perfect time to actually work on your relaxation. Attend a yoga class and / or a meditation workshop, get a hot stone massage or take a relaxation class. Try acupuncture for the first time or attend a lecture on holistic healing. Take this time to really focus on yourself and see what a difference a little self care can make.
Spend Time With Friends
A staycation is the perfect excuse for catching up with friends, family and loved ones. If you’re lucky enough to have the space, consider installing a Tallman fiberglass pool (or any pool, really) on your property, and invite them over to enjoy it with you. Alternatively, you can install an affordable hot tub or spa. Who needs a pricey hotel when you can enjoy lounging around your own home?
Up the ante by throwing an amazing backyard barbeque and invite your friends to bring their favorite dish. And their swimsuit!
Visit Local Attractions

Consider visiting your local attractions during your staycation. Put a visit to the aquarium, theater or monument on your to-do list. Have lunch or dinner at a hot spot. Visit a state or county fair, music festival or carnival.
If you're not sure what's happening during your staycation, check local events on social media. I promise, you'll find plenty to do!
Staycations are still soooo popular. Here's why:

If you do a little traveling, why not put a few dollars back in your pocket, save at the pump or earn frequent flyer miles?
