Haus & Garten Titanium Pruning Shears
This thing is a monster. It must grow about a foot and a half in every direction each year. If I want it to maintain some semblance of shape, I have to prune it every spring.
The weather has not been kind this spring and it’s rained so much I swear I’ve seen animals walking in pairs. This means I got a late start in not only my spring pruning, but in testing out this awesome product from the fine folks over at Haus and Garten. Btdubs, clever, clever play on words there, you guys….
I was sent these pruning shears gratis in exchange for my honest opinion--and trust me, I am always honest. I already had a pair of shears; nothing special, I think I bought them at Walmart and they’ve served me fine over the years. Then I got my mitts on these shears from Haus & Garten and with the first cut, I'm pretty sure I heard the angels sing.
The best way to describe how well these shears perform is simply by saying they are like a hot knife cutting through butter. My cuts were quick, crisp and clean. They worked on thick branches just as well as they did on thinner ones. I easily snipped away at new buds and old thickets. I felt like Edward Scissorhands, only with much less talent.
The grip is comfortable, the weight just right, and the locking mechanism looks like it may or may not work--but it does, just fine. And these are not made from plain old stainless steel, oh no--these are made from titanium, kids. Haus & Garten ain’t messin’ around.
Unlike regular stainless steel shears, Haus & Garten’s titanium coated shears will not corrode over time and they will not lose their sharpness over repeated use. The blades are angled, so the tool does the work for you, not your wrists. Made for heavy use these Pruning Shears have a smooth, precise cutting action, and are designed to deliver maximum force with minimum pressure.
Whether you are a landscaping afficianado, an avid gardener, or someone like me--who has a big ole shrub or two that need some TLC, you cannot not go wrong with these shears. Even the price point for this product is, well, on point, at $38.90. Lifetime guarantee included.
Two very enthusiastic green thumbs up from yours truly!
As you can see, a Round Two against my formidable Forsythia is inevitable, but unlike seasons past, I’m looking forward to it, thanks to these shears from Haus & Garten.
