Autumn might be my favorite season simply for the fall fashion alone. I look forward to busting out the cozy sweaters, boots and even comfy flannel pjs that have been napping in storage bins for the past six months. I love all of the colors of the season--golds, tans, greens, reds and burgundys--and even plaid. Cuz plaid's a color, if you ask me.
If you are considering adding a few new pieces to your fall wardrobe, then check out our picks for fall fashion must haves. We've even included a few super stylish fall fashion ideas, curated from Pinterest. Fall Fashion Must-Haves & Outfit Ideas1. Boots, Boots & More Boots You are not allowed to participate in fall unless you own at least one pair of boots. Casual boots in tan and black, with a flat to moderate heel, dressy black boots with a mid to higher heel and a standard-issue pair of tan suede or leather booties, if you please! 2. Cardigans In Every Size, Shape & Color Of The Season Think black, gold, olive green, burgundy, heather gray. We are talking long cardigans and dusters, cropped cardigans, sleeveless cardigans layered over long sleeve tees; cardigans with buttons and cardigans without. These awesome wardrobe staples can be easily be dressed up or down and can effortlessly take you from the office to a casual dinner with friends.

3. Oversized Sweaters In Every Color Of The Season
Again, we're thinking black, tan, olive green, burgundy, heather gray. Go off the shoulder for a peek at a tank in a contrasting color. Layer with necklaces of various lengths. Much like their cozy cousins (aka cardigans), oversized sweaters also work great with #4 on our list. 4. Chunky Infinity Scarves & Blanket Scarves In addition to looking stylish and keeping you warm, these are great for adding pops of color to your outfit. Generally these scarves are reasonably priced, so why not grab one in every color of the (fall and winter) rainbow? 5. A Classic Denim Jacket A medium weight, classic denim jacket is perfect for layering. A classic denim jacket is perfect for anything, really. Actually, a classic denim jacket is life.
6. Sleeveless Down Or Faux Down Vest
Another fall wardrobe staple is the timeless down (or down alternative) vest. Pick a color that goes with everything, like winter-white or black. Whether you choose a snap or zip closure, hooded or not, is totally up to you. Just make sure you find a vest that is comfortable, especially around your arms and shoulders. They are made to be layered and you don't want to feel restricted while moving about. 7. Distressed Denim Jeans Distressed denim has been around forever and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Black denim and faded blue work best for this cool weather trend. Fall Fashion Tip: Have destroyed denim with too much "holeage"? Wear opaque tights underneath for an extra layer of warmth and a chic pop of color! 8. Patterned Leggings Leggings, especially when lined, are the bomb.com in cooler weather. Stylish and super affordable, pick up several pairs in different patterns and prints to wear with just about every fall wardrobe topper: solid cardigans, ponchos and oversized sweaters; even long sleeved denim or corduroy shirts! 9. Ponchos, Capes & Ruanas I love capes and ponchos 1-because they hide a multitude of sins, 2-they are cozy-comfy and 3-they look so damn good. Dress them up by adding a few long necklaces or lariats. 10. Peasant Tops No matter the season, peasant tops are always numero uno in my closet. They are cute, comfortable and stylish and are easily paired with many different bottoms--from jeans to leggings to a cute French tuck in a miniskirt. 11. Large Totes, Bucket Bags & Neverfuls Put away those cute little crossbodys you were rocking over the summer, it's time to bring out the big boys. Totes, satchels and bucket bags in jewel colors and earthy tones (and of course classic black), are popular this season. 12. Accessorize To really set off any look, you need to accessorize! In cooler weather, you can almost always get away with more bolder accessory items, such as:
Would we wear all of these at once? Yeah, probably!
In addition to our picks for fall fashion must haves, here are some awesome fall outfit ideas that we've curated from Pinterest. While many are casual, there are several that can be dressed up simply by switching out the accessories and/or footwear.

You're welcome! My suggestion would be to get her a nice fall tote bag! Something substantial that she can carry into winter.

Those are some pretty nice ideas. I actually saw one of those photos last year and bought the closest possible item available near me. I am loving those cardigans though.

Me too! Last year I scooped up a sleeveless down vest and a few long necklaces plus a pair of brown knee high boots and boot socks! This year I added peasant blouses and booties.

I am always impressed by all the different looks women have. But that distressed jeans look I never understood. I could always wear jeans down to look like that. Interesting when other people pay to have happen to jeans that I have just worn down.
