A Day at The Palisades Center, West Nyack, New York
Listen, I'm the first to admit I don't go on very many grand adventures, so I'm quite easily amused. I haven't been to the Palisades Center in close to 15 years, and SO much has changed. This place is AH-MA-ZING! It features an ice rink, a bowling alley, a comedy club/dinner theater (DL Hughley was performing that night), movie theaters, a climb adventure/ropes course, go karts, a ferris wheel, a carousel built in 1907 and oh yeah, it’s still a freakin’ mall too (400+ stores)! According to Wikipedia: "It is the second largest shopping mall in the New York metropolitan area, the eighth largest in the United States by total area, and sixth largest by gross leasable space"! Of course, the kids spent most of the time at Dave and Buster’s, and we had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (my fave--have you tried the Skinnylicious menu???). I only spent a few scheckels on some things I wanted for my upcoming trip to San Antonio (I could have done more damage, but I behaved). If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Palisades Center, plan to wear comfy shoes, take some ibuprofen (it’s LOUD) and make sure to bring a few $$$.
